Background

The reason I chose these cookies was because my mom makes them and I think they are the best baked good she bakes.
I just like oatmeat choclate chip cookies and I think that my mom makes them a lot better than what you can get from the store.
My mom first made them when trying out gluten-free recipes, and just happened to find this one which I really like.

Oatmeal Choclate Chip Cookies

Follow this recipe to make the most delicous cookies ever. This recipe makes 24 of cookies!!!

Ingredients

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars together until creamy. This takes 3-5 mins.
  3. Add in applesauce and vanilla. Beat just until combined.
  4. To the same bowl, add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg. Beat until combined, but do not overmix.
  5. Add oats
  6. Mix with a spatula until well combined
  7. Onto a parchment lined cookie sheet, drop 2 tablespoon spoonfuls on to the sheet. Dough should make 24 cookies this size.
  8. Bake of 12-15 mintues until starting to turn golden brown.
  9. Cool then serve.
